Full Hookup vs Partial Hookup RV Sites — What's the Difference?

Water, electric, sewer — here's what each hookup level actually gets you, and real pricing for each.

Rebecca Creek Campgrounds RV sites, Spring Branch, TX

If you've never booked an RV site before, "full hookup" and "partial hookup" can sound like the same thing with different names. They're not — the difference is whether sewer is connected right at your site, and it changes how much tank-management you're doing during your stay.

What each hookup level includes

Hookup LevelWhat's IncludedPrice
Water & ElectricWater, standard electric$25/night
30-Amp SiteWater, 30-amp electric$45/night
Full HookupWater, electric, sewer$60/night

Partial hookup — water and electric only

A partial hookup site gives you water and electric, either at standard amperage ($25/night) or 30-amp ($45/night if your rig needs the extra power for AC units or larger appliances). No sewer connection at the site — you'd use the campground's dump station or manage tank capacity across a shorter stay.

Full hookup — water, electric, and sewer

Full hookup adds a sewer connection directly at your site for $60/night. No tank dumping runs, no capacity planning — just connect and stay as long as you want without thinking about it. This is the convenient option for longer weekend trips or anyone who'd rather not manage gray/black tanks manually.

Which one should you book?

For a one or two-night stay, a partial hookup site is usually plenty — you're unlikely to fill your tanks in that window. For anything longer, or if you just don't want to think about it, full hookup is worth the extra cost. If you're staying a month or more, our monthly RV lots include full hookups plus WiFi at $500/month — a better value than nightly full hookup rates for an extended stay.

Amperage — what to know before you book

Our RV sites run 30-amp electric service. If your rig needs 50-amp or you're bringing a big rig, call (830) 222-6003 ahead of booking to confirm current availability.

FAQ

What's the difference between full hookup and partial hookup RV sites?

Full hookup includes water, electric, and sewer at your site ($60/night). Partial hookup sites give you water and electric only, either standard ($25/night) or 30-amp ($45/night), without a sewer connection at the site.

Do I need a full hookup site?

Only if you don't want to manage your own gray/black tank dumping during your stay. For a short weekend trip, a partial hookup site is often enough; for longer stays, full hookup is more convenient.

Do you have 30-amp or 50-amp hookups?

Our RV sites offer 30-amp electric service. Call (830) 222-6003 to confirm current 50-amp/big-rig availability before booking if your rig requires it.

What do monthly RV lots include?

All monthly RV lots include full hookups plus WiFi, at $500/month.
